Swasthavritta, a branch of Ayurveda, holds a significant role in promoting health and preventing diseases through a holistic approach encompassing diet, lifestyle modifications, and ethical practices known as Achar Rasayana. The department also prioritizes the practice of Yoga and Naturopathy.

Within the hospital, the Swasthavritta department operates the Swasthrakshana OPD, offering practical guidance in Yoga, Nisargopachara (nature-based therapy), and Pathyapathya Ahar (diet consultancy). Ayurveda’s strength lies in preventive measures and maintaining overall well-being, a philosophy deeply ingrained in Swasthavritta.

According to NCISM, the Swasthavritta syllabus includes preventive measures from modern science, yoga shastra, and naturopathy.
